Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This policy describes how Path to Grow Psychology (Holly Lonkay, Registered Psychologist) manages personal information — both for clients of the practice and for visitors to this website. The practice is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, as a health service provider based in NSW, by the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW).
The personal information we collect
For clients, this includes contact details, referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan information, Medicare and NDIS details where relevant, and information shared during assessment and treatment.
For website visitors, this is limited to what you choose to submit through the contact form (your name, email, phone number, message, preferred contact method, and how you heard about the practice), plus the website usage information described under "Website analytics" below. The contact form's message field is free text, so if you describe your child's situation there, that may include health information — a category of "sensitive information" that gets extra protection under the Privacy Act. By submitting the form, you consent to us collecting whatever you've chosen to include, for the purpose of responding to your enquiry.
How we collect your personal information
Client information is collected directly from clients or their parents/guardians (forms, email, phone, in session), and sometimes from referring GPs and other health practitioners. Website visitor information is collected directly through the contact form on this site.
Why we collect and hold your personal information
Client information is used to assess, diagnose and treat the presenting issue, and to document sessions as required by professional and legal obligations. Contact form submissions are used only to respond to your enquiry and, where you go on to become a client, to arrange your care.
Website analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how it's used (which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived) and Vercel Analytics for basic, cookie-free page-view counts to monitor site performance. Neither is used for advertising, and neither is linked to your name or contact details.
Disclosure of your personal information
Client information is treated as confidential, and is only disclosed when required by law (such as a subpoena or court order), to prevent a serious risk to life, health or safety, or with the client's or guardian's consent.
Contact form submissions are delivered to the practice inbox through Web3Forms, a third-party form service that may process data outside Australia (including in the United States) purely to route your message to us. We haven't authorised Web3Forms to use your information for anything beyond that. We don't sell personal information, and we don't otherwise disclose it overseas.
Access to and correction of your information
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us using the details below.
Data security
Client files are held securely, with access limited to the treating psychologist. Website contact form submissions pass through our email inbox and are not stored on this website itself.
Concerns and complaints
If you have a concern about how your personal information has been handled, please contact us first using the details below. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): 1300 363 992, oaic.gov.au/privacy/making-a-privacy-complaint, or GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 2001.
